Final Post for Access Denied

At this point the author sort of leaves me hanging and so I really hope she writes another sequel. I have really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anybody that likes drama and can relate to middle school stuff. Hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

10th Post

The book is almost ending. Erin gets invited to a high school party by Reede. Erin decides to go to it because it is the cool thing to do. Erin wants to go but she is suppose to visit Mr. F who just went into the hospital because of a heart attack. Erin chooses to go anyways, she tells her parents she is going to Jilly's house. When she arrives at the party Reede immediately leaves her alone, so Erin is left alone with no one she knows. This makes her very angry, and so she goes and tries to find someone she knows. The only person she can find is "Bus Boy" Jilly's old boyfriend, she hangs out with him, but then people start drinking. Erin gets so upset, the only person she feels she can call is Mark. Mark calls Erin's brother and they pick her up. She gets home and not only finds out she is in big trouble but that Mr. F had died. Erin feels that this is all her fault, if she had gone and visited him, he wouldn't have died. Erin stays home a few days because she is so sad. Soon she has to go back to school and everybody feels bad for her. Sunday she goes to a funeral for Mr. F. At this point Erin and Mark become sort of friends again.

9th Post

So I left you off at Erin being in love with Jeff Massey. Erin still talks to Mr. F everyday and he helps her with her problems. Erin's parents have been treating her more like an 8th grader and not like a young kid. Jeff Massey even let Erin take a ride in his brand new car. While they were driving very fast, they got pulled over. Erin was upset because they both weren't wearing the seat belts and speeding. The cop gave Jeff a small fine and then they went on with there adventure. I can picture when this is happening because Erin is such a good kid and getting pulled over must have made her very nervous. I bet she still acted cool though because she was with her crush. She tried to keep her emotions inside. Erin's friendship with Reede is still going well. Erin keeps visiting Mr. F everyday and he still helps him through her life.

8th Post

Erin keeps hanging out with Reede and Jilly. Reede is becoming really good friends with Erin. Blake and Erin aren't having the same feelings for each other. Blake still really likes Erin but Erin isn't so sure about him anymore. Erin thinks her feelings for Blake have just fallin off a cliff. Erin soon decides to brake up with Blake. Then Jilly brakes up with "Bus Boy". Jilly is very sad about this but still has a good attitude. Erin's brother has a friend named _____. Erin immediatly falls in love with him. Even though he is two years older than her, she still really likes him. Whenever he calls to talk to Erin's brother, she always answers the phone first. Whenever Erin has a chance to get in the range of him, she takes every opportunity. Keep reading my blog to find out more.

Have you ever had feelings for someone and then they just end. Well I have had some friendships that have just not worked out. I thought they would, but then they just didn't. In 3rd grade I had a friend who, I thought was going to be my best friend, but she moved away. I missed her for a while, but then found many other good friends. I love the friends that I have to this day.

7th Post

I have to tell you that I love this book and I read it in 2 days. I am not usually a big reader so when my parents saw me reading they thought it was amazing! haha

6th Post

I think that Erin may make the wrong decision with hanging out with Reede and this will ruin Jilly and Erin's friendship. This is my prediction, keep reading the blog to see what happens.

5th Post

I left you off at telling you about how Erin really likes writing blogs. Erin writes a blog about her eighth grade life. Erin continues to like school and enjoys her friends. Erin was hanging out with Jilly at her house. Much to Erin's surprise Jilly had invited her boyfriend "Bus Boy" (nickname) over with his friend Blake. Erin fell in love with Blake and the relationship began. They would hang out together, go on double dates with Jilly and Bus Boy, ride bikes, and get pizza together. Erin was really happy about having her first boyfriend and he was even in 9th grade. Erin continued to play basketball with Mark, but it wasn't the same anymore. Erin was over Mark. It seemed every time Erin was around Mark, all he would talk about was Blake. Mark had a girlfriend but he didn't talk about her as much as Erin did. I think this sometimes made Mark feel bad, because Erin and Mark use to be tight, but now their friendship as sort of disappeared. Erin and Reede's friendship is growing, Erin had her over to work on the school blog one day. When she arrived Erin noticed something about Reede she hadn't notice before, she stunk like smoke! Erin just let that go and they worked on updating the school blog. Until Reede asked if she could go outside for a smoke, Erin immediately reacted and said well my parents would kill me if I had a friend that smoked. Reede even offered Erin a cigarette, Erin denied it. Erin was completely grossed out about this and was very surprise. She had always figured Reede was a little different, she wore a lot of black makeup and dressed sort of goth, but she never realized she smoked. When Erin told Jilly on Monday morning, Jilly flipped out and told Erin to never go near her again. This isn't really what Erin was looking for, she wanted Jilly to comfort her and tell her maybe she will stop smoking. But what Jilly said to completely stop hanging around her. Erin and Jilly still were friends but Jilly was a little worried about Erin. She didn't want Erin to make the wrong decision. First because Erin's over protected parents would kill her and Erin could get hurt. Jilly shared her feelings with Erin and then their friendship was back on track.

I Remember Where I was when....

the twin towers were attacked. It was like my 3rd day of kindergarten and my first day riding the bus. As I got on, I heard the bus driver talking to the ed tech on the bus about somebody attacking something. That was all I heard. Once I arrived at my house and got off the bus, my mom was waiting outside for me with my sister Hayley. She looked a little upset. But we went on with a normal afternoon routine, get a snack, outside time and then homework; if we had any!

I later found out when I was older, about the twin towers. My mom was very worried because my dad was on a plane coming home from Washington DC. He had been delayed though and not been bothered. This was a very sad time and it affected many people.

4th Post

As Erin and Reede become better friends, they hang out more often. Erin, Reede, Mark, and a few other friends are on the club that designs the school website. Erin really loves creating websites and blogs. This is also one of her strengths.

Do you have a strength? Something that your really good at? Most people do, there strengths are usually things that they enjoy doing and do ALOT. As people say, "Practice makes perfect." So if you enjoy doing things and you do them a lot, you will become better at them and soon they will be one of your strengths.

One of my strengths is lacrosse. I started when I was in 5th grade and have played every year since. As the years have progressed and the game has gotten harder, I have gotten better. I now love lacrosse and wouldn't know what I would do without it.

3rd Post

Where did I leave you off? Hmmm ohh, I remember! I had left you off when I just started reading. Well do you remember Erin had just started eighth grade with her friend Jilly. As the year started, things went well! Erin often visted the ganitor, also her neighbor whose name was Mr. F. Mr. F and her had many heart to heart talks. She really enjoyed talking to him each day and sharing personal stuff that is happening in her life!

Erin meets a new girl at her locker, one day and realizes that this is her new locker buddy! Erin is not pleased about having a locker but, also having a weird one! Erins "locker buddy's" name is Reede. Erin introduuces herself and shows Reede around the school. Erin realizes as she gets to know Reede, she likes her.

Have you ever looked at someone and thought to yourself, eww! Well I bet each and everyone of us has and then we soon realized that these people have turned into our friends. It helps when you get to know someone and then you share both of your interests. When you can relate to someones life, it helps to create a friendship, so you have things to talk about!

2nd Post

When I first started reading my book, it was all about Erin; main character. The author was telling a lot about how she was anxious for eighth grade. Her best friend Jilly and her were very excited for the boys, meeting new friends and just plain out eighth grade. Erin writes about her whole year in a Secret Blog she has online. Later year when she was in seventh grade her blog address got out, so everything on it was read by many kids at her school. She was hoping everyone would forget about this and she could start over. So this year she is doing a blog about her eighth grade year and knows that nobody will get into it. She starts the year off with her best friend Jilly. Jilly and her have been through a lot. Last year Jilly like, Erin's crush Mark. This made their friendship go a little bit like a rollercoaster but it finally ended. The two friends now are together most of the time.

Keep reading to find out what happenes next in my blog :D

1st Post

I chose Access Denied (and other eighth grade error messages). I chose this book because I had read Click Here and this is Denise Vega's second book. I really like how this book is about eighth grade, so I can relate to some of the things that are happening in the book. My predictions are that Erin (main character) will have a great eighth grade year. I think Erin will have many more friends and enjoy being with Mr. F. If you like books about our age group then read this book.
